Our BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance products have been designed to help provide assistance for BMW motorcycle riders in the event of motoring emergencies. There are different products and options available so you can get the cover that suits you best.
BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance offers you our highest level of cover. Whether you’re at home, on the road in the United Kingdom, travelling in the Republic of Ireland or holidaying in Continental Europe, a BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance policy can help protect you. In the event your bike becomes immobilised, we will arrange assistance by utilising an extensive network of Roadside Assistance Centres. These are manned 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by experienced, multilingual staff. The policy also comes with a range of comprehensive benefits, so you can be rest assured that your BMW motorcycle breakdown cover will take care of both you and your bike.
You can purchase a BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance policy either on its own or in conjunction with a BMW Motorrad Insured Warranty.
As an alternative, you can choose to buy a BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance Essential policy. This covers you for roadside assistance or recovery if your bike is at home, or on the road in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland.
Please be aware that a BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance Essential policy cannot be purchased if you already have a BMW Motorrad Insured Warranty. This is because an Insured Warranty automatically comes with Warranty Assistance which entitles you to home and roadside recovery to the nearest BMW Motorrad Retailer, should your bike become immobilised.
In order to take out BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance Essential, your bike must be under 10 years old and cannot have completed more than 100,000 miles.
To obtain a quote, or to purchase a BMW Motorrad Roadside Assistance product for your motorcycle, simply visit our Get Your Quote page. You will need your motorcycle registration number and the exact current mileage of your bike. If you were sent a reminder letter or email about renewing your BMW Motorrad breakdown cover, then you also will require the PIN and login name detailed on it.
Alternatively, if you would like to purchase by telephone, please call 0345 641 9791. Lines are open 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 9:00 to 13:00 on Saturday, excluding public holidays.
If you buy a BMW Motorrad Insured Warranty you will automatically be provided with Warranty Assistance cover. This means that if you breakdown at home or on the road we will take your bike to the nearest BMW Motorrad Retailer.
BMW Roadside Assistance Essential is ideal if you want basic Roadside Assistance cover without having to purchase a warranty. You will be provided with assistance or recovery if your bike is immobilised at home, or on the road in the United Kingdom or Republic of Ireland.

Terms and exclusions do apply; you should check the full terms and conditions outlined in the Policy Handbook to make sure you fully understand these. We have provided an overview of the terms and conditions below.
Terms and Conditions in the UK and Republic of Ireland
While you’re travelling in the UK and Ireland, the following terms and conditions apply. Firstly, if you suffer from a breakdown in adverse weather conditions such as high winds or snow, recovery operations may be put on hold until these conditions improve. In these circumstances, our priority is to ensure that you and your passengers are taken to a place of safety, and so the recovery of your motorcycle may not be possible until weather conditions permit.
In addition to this, if specialist equipment is required to provide assistance, we will arrange recovery, but you will be responsible for the costs. Please be aware that the costs of this may be refundable under the terms of your policy.
Similarly, should your motorcycle be stolen and subsequently recovered by the police, you may need to pay a release fee before we can take the motorcycle to an authorised BMW Motorrad Retailer or BMW Motorrad Service Workshop, or to your home address. Although we can arrange to guarantee these costs on your behalf, the payment of such fees is your responsibility.
Finally, if your motorcycle is immobilised because you’ve refuelled it with the incorrect fuel, we will pay for the cost of recovering your motorcycle to the nearest authorised BMW Motorrad Retailer or BMW Service Workshop. However, the additional benefits detailed on this page will not be provided in the event of refuelling with incorrect fuel.
Terms and Conditions in the UK and Republic of Ireland
Along with all of the above, the following terms and conditions also apply if you’re travelling within Continental Europe:
This service is only valid for travel not exceeding 91 days in any single trip
If your motorcycle has to be repatriated from Continental Europe, you should ensure that any items of value are removed
If assistance is required on a French autoroute (and certain autoroutes in some other European countries), you must use the official SOS boxes at the side of the road in order to arrange initial recovery
For full information on the terms, conditions and exclusions that apply to our policies, please see the Policy Handbook. If you have any further questions about your chosen policy, then please call 0345 641 9791. Lines are open 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 9:00 to 13:00 on Saturday, excluding public holidays.
